Is JoyTools really 100% private?
Over 97% of JoyTools run entirely in your browser with zero uploads — your files never leave your device. Only specialized AI tools (such as AI Background Remover and Image to Text OCR) use our cloud server for neural network inference. In those cases, files are processed in RAM over encrypted HTTPS and deleted immediately. No file is ever stored.
Are there any file size limits?
For client-side tools, file size depends on your device's available RAM. Most devices handle PDFs and images up to 50–100MB without issues. Cloud AI tools (AI Background Remover, Image to Text OCR) support files up to 20–30MB.
Can I use JoyTools for commercial work?
Yes. All output generated by JoyTools — formatted code, converted PDFs, favicons, compressed images — is yours to use commercially without any restrictions.
Do I need to create an account or sign up?
No. All 86 tools are available immediately with no registration, no login, and no email required.
Does JoyTools work offline?
Client-side tools work after the page loads, even with a slow connection. Cloud tools (such as AI Background Remover and Image to Text OCR) require an active internet connection because they process requests on our secure server.
Does it work on mobile?
Yes, JoyTools works on mobile browsers. For tools that process large files (PDF merge, Image Compressor), a desktop browser is recommended since mobile devices have less available memory.
Some tools say 'Server Cloud' — does that mean my files are sent somewhere?
Yes, but safely. Cloud AI tools send your file to our server over HTTPS, process it immediately in memory (RAM), and return the result. The file is never written to disk and is deleted right after processing. See our Security page for full details.
